Whimsical Quackery
Watch out! This little duckie may look sweet and innocent, but it’s masterfully designed by Italian designer and architect, Alessandro Mendini. “So what” you ask? Well, the guy holds several international architectural prizes and is renowned for not only his famous buildings around the world but also his very distinctive furniture, such as this Sirfo Goose Table distributed by Zanotta.
So great is this mans name in the design field that a whimsical side table such as this can easily receive a price tag of $3177.00. If you really want it though, don’t despair it is available at Europe by Net for only $2201.00! What a steal! Continue to full article
1 commentLEATHERMAN, need I say more? Yeah, probably.
Holy tools, Batman! Leatherman has done it again. One of the finest toolmakers on the market has released yet another revolutionary all purpose tool. Designed to appeal to the “outdoorsman,” this multi-functional, brilliantly engineered piece of equipment will appeal to just about anyone.

Kit+Lili specializes in very retro looking children’s clothing. All of their pieces are very bold and very cute without the frills and bows. I particularly like this soft, pleated corduroy skirt with the adorable and simple owls making up this unique pattern.
Available at Black Wagon for $58.00.

1 commentRev it up!
What can make a boring old kitchen blender cool? A tachometer of course! I wanna know the exact speed at which my smoothie is being blended and I don’t mean “low,” “medium,” and “high.” I’m talking rotations per minute!
That’s right, this blender by L’Equip will have you L’Squeeling with glee as you watch the little needle rev it up between 500 and 20,000 RPMs. There’s even a toggle switch; and if you’ve been keeping up with the posts here on WithoutStyle, you’ll know we’re big fans of toggle switches.
Don’t know if it will blend an iPod, but the solid looking brushed steel base with a the polycarbonate blending jug and tamper stick will make a great looking and functional addition to any kitchen or bar.
Available at Table Tools for $134.00

One of my favorite children’s companies, Haba, not only creates fantastic, creative and safe toys for the little ones, but also dabbles in some equally creative and safe furniture for them. Taking the most elemental childhood desire to play, Haba creates furniture that’s not only functional, but fun! Let’s face it, a bed like this will fare much better at luring the feisty ones in for bed time. Continue to full article
1 commentDiscovering John Hardy
![]() ![]() |
While on my recent travels to Aruba, I discovered a jewelry artist that impressed me unlike any other I have previously seen. I thought I had uncovered something new, but while doing some more research on this Canadian jeweler based in Bali, I realized his work is actually quite well known with retailers all over the world. Perhaps I’m just the last to find out. For those of you out there who, like me, have not yet been introduced to this creator, I present to you: John Hardy. Continue to full article
2 commentsAmp it up to 11!

Geeks and rockers alike can appreciate this baby. It is a lamp with a sense of humor. Designed by Nik Wilmore and obviously stylized after a tube amp, its charm is in the funky details.
Much like the tube amps renowned for their “warmth of sound,” weight, hefty price tag and the glow they produce (or so my husband informs me); the tube lamp aims to call back to these iconic features so treasured by the audio snobs of the world.

“In all things of nature, there is something of the marvelous”
–Aristotle
There exists a soap so special that, according to the manufacturer, Noveletti, it is necessary to quote Aristotle to describe it.
